Beauty shmuck and gunk

What's the big deal with make-up? Doesn't everyone seem to have a strict make-up routine? Some feminists refuse to wear the stuff because they quote that it hides the natural beauty of a woman's face. They do have a point..

Lipsticks, eyeshadows, mascaras, glosses.. you can't help but feel a little big lost in this whole and complicated world of face shmuck. There are shades and sorts of everything, different brushes for everything.. and it's all so expensive! If you want good quality you have to pay a fortune for the stuff, otherwise you end up with rubbish that smudges, breaks and doesn't look too good.

To be honest, make up is just a big con.. I mean lipstick doesn't make your lips stick to his, waterproof mascara isn't waterproof.. doesn't sound too promising. And with seasons of bright color followed by seasons of dulls and naturals, it's annoying and a waste of money!

Make-up's no sin. Most people have at least one piece in their drawer and it can "enhance" your features, but let's get serious. One the advert proffesional make-up artists have spent precious (well-paid) hours perfecting the look as well as using a whole lot of expensive gizmos to add to that "you can do it yourself" effect. Of course it looks fabulous..
But go out and buy it yourself and there's a disaster! Panda eyes, blood red lips and red cheeks. If make-up is supposed to make you beautiful, it sure doesn't seem like they're telling the truth!
Wouldn't it be better to stay well-clear of the stuff altogether? Beauty comes from inside after all, and you have to admit, to look picture-perfect you are "hiding" your face. However pale your complexion is, short your eyelashes are, thin your lips be.. it's about time to go bare, be natural and show off the real you. People should love the person inside, not the face on the outside. Sounds corny, but it's true. Make-up is just a face, a mask.

You can do without it..
